Situated on the northeast coast of St Lucia, The Marquis Estate will be a world class beach resort featuring an 18 hole Gary Player Signature golf course, as well as a boutique hotel and residential villas to be developed and designed with PLAYER Real Estate.

“I am thrilled to be involved with The Marquis Estate project for Harlequin Hotels & Resorts and can’t wait to see the golf course and resort take shape”, commented Gary Player shortly after the agreements with Harlequin were announced.

Other planned leisure activities at The Marquis Estate include a sports academy featuring cricket, football and tennis, walking trails and, of course, swimming in the crystal clear sea. The Marquis Estate Gary Player Signature golf course and PLAYER Real Estate projects are currently in the detailed planning phase, with completions scheduled for 2014/15.

“Our golf design and real estate development teams visited the Marquis Estate site in early 2008 and as we learned of the success Harlequin has achieved in other parts of the Caribbean and their plans for St. Lucia, we became more and more interested in the overall project. The stunning site was certainly a factor”, Gary Player enthused.
