Harlequin Hotels & Resorts exhibits at the World Travel Market 2009

Harlequin Hotels & Resorts have truly established themselves as a major contender in the luxury 5 star hotel arena by exhibiting at the annual World Travel Market at ExCel in London Docklands in November. This premier event is held for the travel industry and almost 50,000 visitors attended. All of the key top team were there including Dave Ames, Joerg Roterberg (Vice President of Operations), Garrett Ronan (Vice President, Food & Beverage) and Simon Taylor to meet with key representatives from major airlines such as British Airways, Virgin Atlantic and Monarch, along with a selection of market and world leading tour operators and agents including Tui & Expedia. Also on the stand was Pat Cash who enthralled visitors and members of the press with his plans for his Tennis Academy at the resorts, Sports Broadcaster Andy Townsend who is ambassador for the Harlequin Sports Academies, David Fairclough, ex- Liverpool player famously known as 'Super Sub' who discussed plans for the Liverpool Football Club Soccer School, West End and Broadway musical performers Michael McCarthy, Phil Cavill and James Milton who are working with Harlequin to create the Harlequin Performing Arts Academy.

Harlequin occupied a bespoke, two storey stand in the centre of the Caribbean section. New brochures were available to showcase the Harlequin Sports Academy and the Harlequin Performing Arts Academy along with the Buccament Bay room rates which were launched to the marketplace at this event and were very well received by travel industry professionals. Harlequin Hotels & Resorts is now committed to the signing of leading quality tour operators and agents to drive bookings into the reservations sheets following splendid feedback from the industry on the brand and pricing structure.
